Our Purpose

At CAERH, we are committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families requiring accommodation while loved ones are in hospital. Through our initiatives, we strive to create a sustainable and long term solution to provide carers accommodation at Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.

Who will use the Carers Accommodation ?

Those family members and friends who love and care for us when we are in hospital.

They provide support and encouragement and help see to our non-medical needs.

The Accommodation

The accommodation will be located in the hospital grounds and managed by Southern NSW Local Health District,  so that these support people will not have to travel.

They may be asked to pay a nominal daily fee which will be set by the hospital to help with laundry and maintenance costs, thus helping to ensure the ongoing viability of the service.

Current Events

Our first fundraising Project:

Following the receipt of several donations from members of the Community, Col and Bron Jay kicked off our fundraising efforts.  Approaching Coastal Auto Group, they secured their support to raffle an MG Electric Car.

Coastal Auto Group loaned us the vehicle – complete with advertising.   Appropriate licences were applied for, tickets were printed and we were on our way.  Steve and Jan Young kindly take care of the car seeing that it is garaged and charged over-night.

Col organises his roster of workers and we have been present at nearly every function, markets and race events for the last six months.

Tickets sell for $50.00 each with a limit of 3,000 tickets only to be sold.  We are more than 2/3rds of the way there, thus depositing almost $100,000 in our account in six months.
