IMAGING SERVICES – Phillip Carter

Phillip Carter, manager of imaging services Eurobodalla

‘We have been planning for two years a really bespoke medical imaging department that meets our needs. We’re getting MRI scanners … CT scanners … ultrasound … X ray … fluoroscopic services.  Rather than patients dropping into one hospital and being transferred to Moruya by ambulance, an ambulance will come directly to Moruya … better turn around times … more specialist staff … which will reduce … fly in fly out staff.’

Dr Luke Mitchell Clinical lead Close Observation Unit Moruya Hospital

Presently at Level 3 and I’m excited with the development of the new 8-bed Level 4 … High level service will come directly to Moruya via ambulance into one hospital … It means that we can look after sicker patients locally. … more surgeries, which will attract more specialists … and more opportunities for growth and professional development.
